Dr. Perez, a leading allergist in Sugar Land, TX, received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston in the Texas Medical Center, and completed his residency at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
His fellowship in asthma, allergies, and immunology was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
Dr. Perez has published research in the prestigious medical journal Nature Medicine and contributed to research featured in Smithsonian Magazine. He has also published abstracts for both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
An avid cyclist, Dr. Perez participates in the MS150 from Houston to Austin every year and stays active by competing in the Brazosport Triathlon annually. His other passion is spending quality time with his family and coaching soccer teams for two of his sons.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Allergy/Immunology in adult and pediatric allergy/immunology. Dr. Perez is particularly attentive to the needs of his allergic patients, as he himself has asthma and allergic rhinitis, and all of his sons have food allergies and eczema. His understanding of these complexities comes not only from his professional training and patient interactions but also from his personal experiences.
